Different People in Different Worlds~Words From Aly Capps
The world today is made up of many things. We revolve around our possessions. Its habit for us to carry our phones with us everywhere or be on the computer. But whats considered enough?
I was talking to a girl the other day, she is a few years younger than me. We were talking about our home life and realized that we came from two totally different worlds.
While she grew up with both of her parents who are in active duty in the U.S. Air-force and both of her grandparents who are retired; I grew up with my single grandmother. She goes on to tell me that she was upset with her father before she came to Tucson because she couldn't style her truck the way she wanted before she left. "How did you get a truck?" I asked with amazement and some jealousy. "I asked my dad for a car and I got a silver four-door car and then my mom wanted it so I traded her for her Ford."
Well, I had my answer and more. But as I thought about it more I realize I am very fortunate to not have everything I wanted. I work for my phone and I work for my computer; so I realize that I have the benefit of having accomplishments rather than having things handed to me.
Though it would be nice to not have to worry about money, I know the finer things in life; Love, Laughter, Hope, Giving, Happiness, Family, Friends, Wisdom, Strength, and Memories.♥
